Diminished Discovery

The dreamer with her palette stay,
Blind with color, peace of mind.
Struggles in their cradle lay,
Their anguish not their own to find.

Shimmering rows of gladly found
Enjoyment, their unsaid find.
Who is a novice, loud to say
They'd know their skill in quick rewind?

A foolhardy price, for endless dreams
That dangle in their dust,
For a heart so wound in lines of silk
Should forget metallic lust.

beautiful peom. i just love it.

yeah. loving your body is a really powerful way to attract people. i haven't really been doing that, or taking care of myself. i think i may have distanced myself from my body and thats not alright.

by making an effort to care about my body and actually try to keep fit, i feel like i'm loving myself more. :3 in a way.

thinsparation is just a little reminder. i dont worship it the way some girls do on here.

are you a writer? i posted a short story on my blog once and it got like 0 hits! never doing that again.....

whispers, indeed. This speaks volumes (and it rhymes!) in its quietude. Just lovely...thanks.

I love each and every word Cathy. How eloquent and fulfilling to a desire. Thank you.

@indie_bindi - Oooh, when was that? I want to go read it now! I'm glad you love the poem.

I'm the opposite of the skinny girl who looks in the mirror and sees a fat girl. I'm the healthy looking person who double checks herself after stumbling upon a Thinspo blog or video, because the images look vaguely realistic.

The survey on your blog told me a lot about your new habits, though. It isn't nearly as bad as some I've seen. Good job!

Yes, I am a writer.

@BianchiStreet - Oh, thank you, for both the kind comment and the visit! I'm so grateful that you recognize the tone I was going for.

@ZSA_MD - I think I should be the one thanking you. It's nice to know that even diminished expression can seem so fulfilling.

@sometimerainbow - Thank you so much. :]

@zionlover - Oh, I have yet to call my work artistry. How your words make me glow. :]
